Tour Description:
Embark on a 3-day adventure deep into the jungle and hills of Northern Thailand. On the first day, your guide will share the secrets of the forest – from finding drinking water and edible plants to cooking delicious meals in bamboo or wrapped in leaves. As night falls, enjoy a simple dinner and drift off to sleep surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature.
On the second day, continue your journey to a welcoming hill tribe village, where you’ll discover the traditional lifestyle of the locals and spend the night in a warm, authentic homestay.
Your adventure ends with a peaceful bamboo rafting trip down the river. Float through lush landscapes, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and soak up the natural beauty before returning to Chiang Mai.
Day 1 – Jungle Trekking & Survival Experience
07:00 – 07:30 am: Pick up from your hotel/guesthouse in Chiang Mai. Drive north to the local market to buy fresh supplies.
09:30 am: Start trekking into the jungle with your local guide. Learn basic jungle survival skills – how to find drinking water, build a fire, and identify edible plants.
12:30 pm: Picnic lunch in the forest.
01:30 pm – 04:30 pm: Continue trekking deeper into the jungle, crossing streams and enjoying the natural surroundings.
Evening: Set up camp in the jungle. Learn how to cook with bamboo, prepare a simple dinner, and enjoy the peaceful night surrounded by nature.
Overnight: Local Home stay.
Day 2 – Hill Tribe Village & Homestay
08:00 am: Breakfast prepared in the jungle.
09:00 am – 12:00 pm: Trek through the forest until reaching a hill tribe village.
12:30 pm: Lunch with the local people.
Afternoon: Continue walking for about 1.5–2 hours through another village, enjoying the scenery and learning about local life.
Evening: Settle into a warm and welcoming homestay with a hill tribe family. Experience their hospitality and share a traditional dinner together.
Overnight: Hill tribe homestay.
Day 3 – Bamboo Rafting Adventure
08:00 am: Breakfast at the homestay.
09:00 am – 12:00 pm: Enjoy bamboo rafting along the scenic river – relax, float through the jungle, and take in the peaceful surroundings.
12:00 pm: Local lunch by the river.
12:30 pm: Transfer back to Chiang Mai.
03:30 – 04:00 pm: Arrive at your hotel/guesthouse.

In this tour, you’ll experience the jungle in a truly seasonal and authentic way. Trek through lush forests, learn essential jungle survival skills, and join a cooking. Along the way, visit local villages and stay overnight in different communities, immersing yourself in the traditional lifestyle of the hill tribes.
Your journey continues with a peaceful bamboo rafting trip through the jungle, followed by a memorable encounter with elephants – feed them, spend time with them, and simply relax in their company.
3-Day Jungle & Hill Tribe Adventure Itinerary
Day 1 – Jungle Trekking & Karen Village 08:00 – 08:30 am: Pick up from your hotel or guesthouse and drive about one hour north of Chiang Mai to Mae Malai Market. Stock up on supplies for the trip.
09:00 am: Continue to Mork Fa Waterfall. Enjoy some free time to swim or relax while taking in the beautiful scenery.
12:00 – 12:40 pm: Lunch at a local restaurant.
01:00 pm: Start a 3-hour jungle hike to a scenic viewpoint with your guide explaining local wildlife and culture. Enjoy panoramic views at the top.
04:00 pm: Arrive at a Karen village, meet locals, and settle in for the night.
Evening: Join a cooking session and dinner, then relax around the campfire with a drink.
Overnight: Home stay at Karen village.
Day 2 – Jungle Trekking & Village Homestay
08:00 AM – Breakfast at the Village
Start your day with a delicious local breakfast and take in the peaceful village morning.
09:00 AM – 03:30 PM – Village Walk & Lunch
Wander through a neighboring village, discover local life, and enjoy a scenic lunch surrounded by nature.
Afternoon & Evening – Jungle Trek & Homestay
Trek 1–1.5 hours through lush jungle to a village, meet locals, explore daily life, and spend the night at a homestay, fully immersing in the culture and serene jungle atmosphere.
Day 3 – Bamboo Rafting & Elephants
08:00 am: Breakfast at the village
10:00 am: Depart the village for a bamboo rafting adventure along a scenic river.
12:30 pm: Enjoy a locally prepared lunch in the village
Afternoon: Visit and spend time with elephants – feed and interact with them. Afterwards, transfer back to Chiang Mai.
04:00 – 05:00 pm: Arrive at your hotel or guesthouse.
